Discover the hidden beauty of Biscay on our Brompton day tours, the best way of traveling sustainably through the Basque Country. Visit the famous Puente Colgante of Portugalete, the beautiful Urdaibai Biosphere or the picturesque small towns of Orduña and Balmaseda with us.
In the centre of Gernika, a pleasant route starts which follows the river Oka along its banks until its mouth. Sensing the nearby sea, the river Oka flows into different directions. Between the proud holm oaks covering the hills of Busturialdea, a magical estuary emerges. The marshlands of Urdaibai were declared UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1984.
On this tour the history of Bilbao will be revealed through its naval past, industries, mines and all those who worked here. The Puente Colgante, declared UNESCO World Heritage site in 2006, will let us cross from the town of Portugalete to the municipality of Getxo. Cycling along the Golden Mile enables us to look at the mansions build for the upper classes in Biscay at the beginning of the 20th centruy.
